I see one recurrent problem amongst our nations populace; a poor quality of life. Sure we shower everyday (given we wish too), select from hundreds of types of laundry detergent, eat lavishly, and dress just as well. To what ends is this accomplished though? Is this what makes the people that make up this great nation smile? Simply put, no. All the money in the world can’t buy happiness.
The startling motivation of our culture is money. Look at most of the parental figures in our lives, working 40 hour work weeks coming home to tired to have sex. And then the grueling cut throat visage to get to that point. The hundreds upon hundreds of hours spent to place zeroes in a savings account to insure a retirement. Do we naively suggest that we all will live to that always rising retirement age? What I would like to know is that when they wake up in the morning are they smiling? Did you enjoy the day before? Are you going to enjoy today? Or even tomorrow? Sadly I believe they know the answer, and theyve grown numb to it. If such is the definition that has been given to us by our fathers of maturity, then I shall have no part. I would rather spend all of my days poor, unsuccessful, and immature then spend another day caught in the loop.
This is the revolution of our generation. The stark realization that success, money, power, security, and order do not equate to satisfaction, joy, friendship, excitement, and life.
